Rochester Firefighters responded early this morning for the report of a house fire on St Paul Street. While responding, the assignment was filled out for multiple calls reporting a house fire. Engine 2 went on location with heavy fire out the windows and through the roof of a large three story building. The Deputy Chief assumed command in front of the building and requested a second alarm. Command ordered all firefighters out of the building and fought the fire defensively. Engine 16 responded as the RIC while Engine 14,5 and Truck 10 responded as the second alarm. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
