Rochester Firefighters responded this morning for the report of a house fire on Lorenzo St. While responding, the assignment was filled out for multiple calls reporting a house fire. Engine 5 went on location with fire showing from the first floor of a 1 1/2. Battalion 2 assumed command and reported a working fire. Command further requested a second alarm as he had two houses on fire. The second alarm companies were Engine 1,17 and Truck 2. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

OVER A YEAR AGO I DONT A STORY ON MY BLOG ABOUT VACANT BUILDING AND IVE DONE A STORY WITH NEWS 8 BACK IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR ABOUT THE DELCO PLANT WHEN IS THE CITY GOING TO WAKE UP AND START DEALING WITH THE ISSUES AT HAND? I MEAN SHOULDNT THE CITY BE HELD LIABLE IF A FIRE THAT IS OWNED THE CITY THAT DAMAGE ANOTHER OCCUPIED STRUCTURE BE THIER RESPONSIBILTY TO HELP COVER THE DAMAGE BECAUSE SOME OF THESE BUILDING ARE LESS THAN 30 FEET APART FROM EACH OTHER?
